Monday 17th.
After turning my ankle last night I was very relieved to wake up and find my ankle had not swollen badly, I think I managed to get my weight off the ankle in time to save it from yet another bad sprain. I managed a very short walk with Buster then spent most of the day working on this web site. Thank god I have this web site to develop otherwise I think the inactivity would drive me crazy. Feeling very tired so it was off to bed before 8.00p.m. What an exciting life I lead.
Tuesday 18th.
Managed to take Buster for a longer walk this morning, we both really enjoyed our time out in the country. My mate Mark called in to see me for a couple of hours. It was good to sit and chat and take my mind of things. I had planned to get the Blackbird out and meet up with Rob for lunch and a ride out afterwards but I’m afraid the weather took a turn for the worse. Tina was out with the girls tonight so I cooked myself a nice steak with some lovely thick home made chips. Delicious.
Wednesday 19th.
Very little to report today. Both Buster and myself were feeling a bit poorly, so I spent the day in bed with Buster keeping me company. I also felt pretty bad about letting my mates down again. We were supposed to be going to see Tom Baxter performing at Manchester, the problem was that I couldn’t go and I had got Ian’s ticket. This meant that Ian had to drive over from Crewe just to get his ticket, Tina also gave him our tickets to maybe try and sell. This Chronic Fatigue can be a bit of a nightmare at times.
Thursday 20th.
Feeling a bit better today after my day in bed. The weather has taken a turn for the worst now though. It has started to rain quite heavily and seems to be persistent, perhaps winter has started early this year. Buster had an incredible time on his evening walk, there seemed to be rabbits everywhere for him to chase. Had another early night in an attempt to give myself a bit more energy.
Friday 21st.
Rain, rain and even more rain. Spent most of the morning fiddling around a little with this web site. In the afternoon I had coffee with Keith and his mechanics (sounds like a pop group) in his workshop round the corner. Keith and I had a decent chat afterwards. Buster and I were lucky enough to go out on his evening walk just as there was a break in the weather, we enjoyed a very pleasant hour in the countryside. Tina was out for the evening so I gave the hi-fi a bit of a workout.
Saturday 22nd.
Had a much longer walk this morning, enjoyed the company of a mate, Tracy, who was walking a friends dog. Her own dog, Sasha, died recently and although she is happy to walk other peoples dog’s, she still does not feel ready for ownership again yet. Had a nice quiet day in which Tina took a few hours off, but I think she felt guilty for doing so. Cooked a smashing evening meal of home-made chilli burgers, salad and home-made chips, then got to bed just in time to watch Spurs draw 1-1 with Man. Utd. on Match of the Day, yesss!
Sunday 23rd.
I spent most of the morning watching the three motorbike races that make up the Turkish round of MotoGP. Once again there was some excellent racing to be seen, it has been a very good championship this year. I was hoping to get out on the Blackbird this afternoon, particularly as there was a nice break in the weather, but I’m afraid I just couldn’t seem to work up the enthusiasm. Tina turned her ankle whilst we were walking Buster this evening, what a pair we are. I tried to watch the film ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ this evening but I have to say it held no interest for me whatsoever.
